We are the Kiwanis Club of Panama City Beach. 

 The first Kiwanis Club was formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1915. The word Kiwanis is an American Indian word meaning “We have a good time --  we make noise.”   They learned they could make noise by rendering important community service without thought of personal gain.

 The second Kiwanis club was formed in Cleveland, Ohio. It was in Cleveland that Kiwanis service and its special concern for children took firm root.   This new club started a nursery school for underprivileged children.

 Kiwanis has expanded to over 8,400 clubs and over 606,000 members worldwide, and Kiwanis service to children and communities now encompasses the globe.
